For fast relief from pain, muscle cramping, or even itching, my primary solution is ice packs. When you are experiencing any of the above, reach for ice. It calms angry nerves and muscles instantly. I’m not claiming that it erases discomfort completely, but it sure does help. It reduces my pain levels from sheer agony down to a manageable level, and it does it right now. I don’t have to wait for drugs to kick in or deal with the brain fog that pharmaceuticals deliver.
This particular product claims a proprietary gel blend on the inside. I’m not sure what’s so special about their blend, but it remains flexible and holds a cold temperature for about 15 or 20 minutes. When I am really hurting, I replace it with a second cold pack as soon as the first one becomes warm. That’s why I bought 2 of them. At 15 bucks each that’s doable.
When you are in unbearable pain, try alternating ice and heat – one right after the other. I do this all the time with a MaxHeat Deep-Heat Therapy Pad. First ice, then heat, then ice again. I don’t know why it works, it just does.
Join the Ice Age and get some ice packs, you will be glad that you did.
