Designed for athletes, the Jungle Gym XT is a great product for stroke survivors. It’s affordable, well-built, and doesn’t take up any space at all. It’s great for stretching spastic muscles and provides a way to do weight-bearing exercises without using any weights beyond that of your own body.
I suggest mounting it to the ceiling above your bed, where you can do your self-directed therapy even if you are bedridden. I use a folding massage table in my garage, with the straps mounted to a heavy beam. The straps are strong enough to tow an automobile, so they will have no trouble supporting your weight. I’m 250lbs. and it handles me just fine.
If you have at least one good arm, you can use it to roll yourself over, get out of bed, or even do sit-ups. I do all that, and also use it to support my weight while doing deep knee bends. I can work out safely without falling over. There are lots of exercises that you can do using the Jungle Gym XT. Check out some of the videos on YouTube.

I also recommend that you pick up the heavy-duty wall or ceiling mount. It’s metal, an upgrade from the plastic mounts they used to sell. You can skip it if you plan to just use the over-the-door anchors. You just hang the straps over the top of the door and close it. Heavy, plastic-coated weights hang freely on the opposite side. It works great and does zero damage to the door.
